Carys Evans

Carys is a figurative painter, focusing on the unheroic and everyday. Her paintings capture the quiet, overlooked moments of ordinary life. They also pose questions about the thoughts and relationships of the people who inhabit them. She works in several media including oil, acrylic, pastel, charcoal and household paint. 

Her work is represented in Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales and the National Library of Wales, as well as in private collections in the UK, United States, Canada, Greece, Australia and Ireland. She has exhibitied in the Royal Academny and the Royal West of England Academny. In February 2023 she won second prize in the Swansea Open Competition.
