Heather Littlejohns

Heather is a watercolour artist whose subject matter and inspiration are taken from the natural beauty of the Gower coastline and its surrounding countryside. Focusing on the ever-changing light, sea and sky, she experiments with various techniques and mediums which combine with her traditional use of watercolour. Her careful observation and depiction of breaking waves can be described as "abstract realism". In contrast, Heather's still life paintings of natural objects such as beach pebbles, shells or features, with their subtle colours changes and textures, also provide the perfect subject matter for her.
